1. Information We Do Not Collect
VanishVPN does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, postal address)
- Device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID, advertising ID, MAC address)
- Connection logs, timestamps, or session history
- Visited websites, domains, or destination IP addresses
- DNS queries
- Traffic volume, metadata, or bandwidth usage
- Location data (GPS, network-based, or approximate)
- Crash reports, diagnostics, or analytics events
2. Data Stored Locally On Your Device
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party:
- VPN configuration profiles (VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, WireGuard, AmneziaWG, Hysteria2, Xray JSON, OpenVPN, etc.)
- Subscription URLs that you add manually
- Application settings (MTU, DNS servers, split-tunneling rules, language, user agent)
- Ping results and per-config metadata (display name, country flag, endpoint)
- Last-used VPN configuration
You can delete this data at any time by removing individual configurations inside the application, or by uninstalling VanishVPN from your device.
3. Permissions and Their Purpose
- VPN permission — required by Android to create the system VPN tunnel. It does not give us access to your traffic.
- Internet access — required to connect to the VPN servers you have configured.
- Notifications — used only to display the foreground service status (Connected / Speed).
- Camera — used only when you tap “Scan QR code” to import a VPN configuration. No images are stored or transmitted.
None of these permissions is used to collect, transmit, or store personal data.
4. Third-Party VPN Providers
If you import a VPN configuration or subscription from a third-party provider, your traffic is subject to that provider’s privacy policy. VanishVPN has no access to those services, does not control them, and is not responsible for how they process data.
5. Analytics and Tracking
VanishVPN contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, and no telemetry of any kind.
6. Children’s Privacy
VanishVPN does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
7. Data Security
Since we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no central database that could be breached. All settings and configurations remain on your device, protected by Android’s application sandbox.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the application after changes means you accept the updated policy.
